I am a recent graduate of the University of Pittsburgh's Department of History and Philosophy of Science. I am currently interested in philosophical issues concerning scientific method and the role of technology in science, and in philosophical and metahistorical issues concerning scientific progress.

I also have side-interests in issues relating to bioethics and the philosophy of economics.

Since leaving Pitt HPS I have embarked on a project in the history and philosophy of the historical sciences, with a focus on geochemistry. The project is funded by the National Science Foundation, hosted by the Science History Institute in Philadelphia, and affiliated with the Department of Philosophy at the University of Pennsylvania. Before doing HPS I studied chemistry and philosophy and worked as a medicinal chemist in the Boston-area pharmaceutical industry.
